The guide you gave me help me on understanding the problem better. After knowing what cause the problem i use my Hiren Cd to run a hard drive test. It detect file errors or file that are corrupt and restore it back. So now im able to run my computer without anymore BSOD.

My problem exists on my son’s laptop ( Dell Latitude D600). Unfortunately it will not even let me into recovery mode. However I found your guide useful and would recommend your advice to anyone.

O thank you thank you thank you so much for your help. When I got that Blue screen that kept my computer restarting without letting me go to the Safe Mode, I thought I had lost my computer completely. I tried following the instructions from four or five other sites, but those didnt work until I came across your site. I actually felt so good when all your instructions were actually making sense and taking me somewhere. I felt like a total geek for that hour that I worked on this problem.. which felt reeeally good. But of course, if it wasn’t for your guide I would’ve had no clue what to do.

HAMILTON SAVED ME TIME AND MONEY !
One morning I booted up my home PC (Dell 5000, running Windows XP2 on 4Gb RAM, and about 800Gb HDD across two volumes), when I got the blue screen of death (BSD), stating “unmountable boot volume
Worse still, it was the volume containing my C partition that was down. I had a couple of backups of the partition, so it was definitely not the end of the world, but I’m a busy guy - I had work to do, and could do without the cost and time installing a new drive would entail. Can I save this drive ?
A quick Google on a working machine found a whole pile of hits for this problem, saying how intractable it is - and near the top Hamilton Dahan’s site offering a step by step guide to fixing the problem - just what I was looking for.
Reading Hamilton’s document gave me a full understanding of what I was up against, and how to fix it, without having to resort to buying a new disk.
I am very grateful to Hamilton Dahan’s help solving this problem.
